"It's Not My Town."

by Kevin C. Wilson

For Peter Foster, semi-homeless genius, jazzman, ex-actor, screenplay writer and independent film producer, the "route" presents a series of distractions from his long range plan to secure venture capital for his film project. As he makes his "rounds" in an ongoing quest for temporary shelter, he figures largely in the lives of a number of neighborhood characters. Regulars on his route include a manic depressive agoraphobe with murderous intent, an ex-rock drummer and his bingo addict wife, a fledgling novelty songwriter with grandiose visions of Nashville and a frighteningly large woman whose picket fence needs repainting. When video copies of two obscure horror films in which Pete appeared in minor roles are located, Pete becomes a neighborhood celebrity, yet his "tenure" of residence at any one location grows ever more tenuous.
