"The Chimera of Prague" is not exactly a romance - it's a love story. It's the love one young man has for his adopted city. Joseph obsesses over an elusive Czech woman, and gets distracted by the kaleidoscope of women he seduces along the way. Ultimately, he's going to need to dig into his past, to remember where he came from and why he has a hole in his heart, to try and unearth a way to love himself again.

The story-within-the-story uses geology, and numerous other subjects, to frame, and perhaps explain, the emotional content. An ode to Western New York, peppered with 80’s pop culture references, creating a tumultuous rendering of love lost.
