PCIP (Publisher’s Cataloging-In-Publication) is a block of text created by trained catalogers at the request of a publishers which is included on the copyright page.
The PCIP records the the bibliographic data elements of your book giving librarians the information they need to add your book to their database. If you want to see your book into libraries, you should apply for a PCIP before publishing your book.
