    26-Feb-2019

Carol Vorvain (@writersboon) is an Australian international lawyer, mediator, author and founder of Writers Boon. Her books, When Dreams are CallingWhy not? - The island where happiness starts with a question and  A Fool in Istanbul - The adventures of a self-denying workaholic have been featured in a number of travel magazines including the International Traveller magazine and can be found in libraries, bookstores and on Amazon.

In 2019, Writers Boon is launching the campaign "Inspiring places to write about."

Where did the idea come from? Simple.
Many authors, tired of working from home, complain of experiencing writer's block which obviously sends them in shock. But, hey, there is an easy fix. Travel.

    Travel far and travel wide,
    Leave your worries far behind.
Don't look back, forget it all
    Life is beautiful overall.

We want to encourage authors and bloggers to travel to some of the most inspiring places on Earth and start writing blogs about them, set their books in those amazing places, have their characters fall in love with the locals.

First country on the list... well, take a wild guess.

The most expensive wild mushroom in the world grows here, the docile Takin looks like a crazy scientific experiment, a rare fungus, cordyceps, is worth more than gold, people don’t have family names, the rice is red, the pigs get high on marijuana, the locals don’t know their birth dates, and the list goes on and on...

    Welcome to Bhutan!

Our founder, Carol Vorvain went there and shows you why this tiny kingdom in the Himalayas must be on your bucket list.

Wonders of the Himalayas - A short video on the kingdom of Bhutan.

    Enjoy the documentary!
